Adding other Accounts besides Gmail

Steven Wright 11 лет назад обновлен katzoft 11 лет назад 3

I have a Nexus 7 and love your GMail Widget interface.  I just noticed that on the top, it looks like you can add additional types of accounts (Facebook, LinkedIN, email from other email programs).  I'm assuming it's there so you can view content from these sources using this widget which I was excited to be able to have that ability because UI is perfect!  However, it seems to lock and/or not complete when I try to add one of these other accounts.  Can someone set me straight?

The "add account" icon is currently just a link to the corresponding screen on you device. The purpose it to save you having to back out of the Gmail Widgets configuration screen to add another Gmail account.

If you would like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or other notifications, you would have to configure those services to send you emails to your Gmail account.

We are, however, looking at integrating other sources directly. Which one would you be most interested in?

Facebook would be fine, Skype messages perhaps, if that's possible.

Facebook is probably doable, Skype I doubt.

Thanks for getting back to me - I figured that may be the case, but was excited at the potential of having other data sources coming into the format of your widget.  What I'm most interested in, is getting my exchange email presented in your widget UI - I currently use TouchDown, which is a great program, but their widgets - comparatively - are plain jane!!  If you're looking for which out of the social media tools I'd prefer to integrate, I would say LinkedIn, but I'm an uber-user of Android when it comes to my business data, so you'll probably get more people wanting Facebook.

Again - top notch product - I'm a fan!  And I greatly appreciate you getting back to me - if you ever need a guinea pig for a new product, let me know - I'm in!!
