I think this is caused by the fact that the text message number does not have a contact associated with it, and the email does, but the contact picture is not assigned. If you assign a contact photo, you should be able to see it on the widget.
Thanks for reporting this. Can you provide us with more details about your setup (device model, Android version, is it rooted, are you using a custom ROM or launcher).
Hi, thanks for the feedback.
Are you sure the issues regarding the first message are not just caused by the fact that you have scrolled down a little?
As for the colors, they are assigned randomly, but should stay the same unless you change the configuration (e.g. remove / add labels).
Since this topic refers to an old version, I have set this to fixed unless someone disagrees.
That's strange. I need some more information from you to diagnose the problem.
How long did you wait after seeing the notification?
Is the new message arriving in a custom folder or in the standard inbox?
Which phone are you using and is it rooted?
After extensive testing, I was not able to reproduce these issues. One of they key features of the widgets is that they should have updated as soon as you receive new emails, so by the time you unlock your phone, you can see them right there on your homescreen.
I don't have any of the devices you use though, so can anyone else who is using an S3 (with or without a custom ROM) post their experience? The forums are also there for users to help each other :)
Thanks for the information. Is this a custom ROM or a non-standard homescreen or both?
